The following is supported by Visitation (Sussex, 1633-4, Alchorne) in which the Harleian Society reports that Robert (brother of John of Boughton Mount)'s father was not John (of Brenchley), which had been "struck out", but Robert of Marden. This leads us to show this Robert (m. Mary Buckhurst) as of this generation rather than 2 generations later (son of John by Mary Crispe) which is what is shown by Berry. This is supported by the fact that Visitation (Kent) shows that the later Robert was aged 8 in 1619 (i.e. born c1611) which would make it difficult for him to have had a grandson born about 1630.
