Both BEB1841 & Visitation start with the following Bryan who is described as "of Lea Hall in Glossop" by BEB1841 but as "of Denton Hall in co. Lanc." by Visitation. The latter might be taken to suggest that he was a son of a Holland of Denton rather than grandson, something which would ease the concern that there may be one too many generations shown here. Visitation goes no more forward in time and does not make clear the order of the marriages. It is noted that BEB1841 (Barker of Grimston Hall) refers to a Mary Wigmore (dau of Edward of Twickenham) as widow of Sir Thomas Holland of Quiddenham which, leaving aside the confusion with names, would suggest that Thomas's 1st wife was Mary Knyvet (Knevett) though that leaves it odd why Visitation did not mention any sons of that marriage.
