| Because BLG1952 starts off with naming various successors to estates in the Isle of Man, only rarely identifying the relationship between the successors, we do not wish to presume too much about those relationships. However, we wish to record the data provided by BLG1952. Our solution is to show the early generations separately from the later ones where the relationship between the successive squires/lairds appears to have been confirmed. Accordingly, for the following (and elsewhere in the database), please remember that "succeeded by" is meant to imply uncertainty as to the exact familial relationship between the generations. | |||||||||||||||
