| 'Fife (P&H' (vol 2, p90) reports that "The Wardlaws are said to have descended from one of the Anglo-Saxon nobles who fled to Scotland in the time of Malcom Caenmhor" (who r. 1058-1093) and "According to a genealogical account of his family made by Cardinal Wardlaw, they had come from Saxony to England in the sixth century, and remained there till 1066." BLG1952 names Henry's wife as Alison Home but does not follow this line further other than to mention that "His descendants continued as Lairds of Torrie, until the acquisition of those lands by the family of Bruce in the first half of the 17th century." | |||||||||||||||
