Craster shows Elizabeth as married only to Sir John Burcester, without issue, and reports in some detail on her settlements of property. Note that there is an Elizabeth, dau of William Whitchester, who is shown by some sources as marrying a Delaval and having a daughter who was heiress of Seaton Delaval (## see here ##). We suspect that it was wrongly assumed that Seaton Delaval passed back into the Delaval family though this Elizabeth whereas, according to Craster, there was an entail which led Seaton to go back to the Delavals should the Whitchester heirs die without issue.
